Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Ryan has cared for professional, college, high school and recreation athletes and is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Ryan received his undergraduate degree at the US Military Academy at West Point, New York. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Letterman Army Medical Center, Presidio, of San Francisco, California.

He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic, Columbus, Georgia.

He served as the Chief of Orthopaedics at the US Military Academy at West Point, New York for seven years and during that time developed and directed the Army Sports Medicine fellowship.  He was Commander of the US Army Institute for Surgical Research in Texas.
